Product Customization Service Process
Inquiry & Requirement Review
Customer submits requirements including: gear type, dimensions (diameter, module, number of teeth), operating conditions (load, speed, temperature, environment), material preferences, and applicable standards. Drawings are welcome but not required—if no drawing is available, we can work from a sample part or basic specifications.
Drawing Matching or Reverse Engineering
If the gear model falls within our 3,000+ drawing library, we match the closest existing design and confirm specifications with the customer. If no match is found:
√ Customer provides a sample part → we perform on-site measurement and reverse-draft the engineering drawing.
√ Customer provides incomplete drawings → our engineering team completes the design based on operating parameters and industry standards.
√ Full custom design → our R&D center develops the drawing from scratch based on application requirements.
Customer approves the final drawing before production begins.
Material & Process Route Selection
Based on operating conditions (load type, impact level, temperature, corrosion exposure), we recommend the optimal material and manufacturing route:

Material grades available include but are not limited to: 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6, ZG40Cr25Ni20, and custom alloys per customer specification.
Quotation & Lead Time Confirmation
We provide a detailed quotation covering: material, process route, machining specifications, heat treatment, inspection items, packaging, and logistics. Lead time is confirmed based on current production schedule—typically 1/3 shorter than industry average due to our fully in-house production.
Production
All critical processes completed under one roof:
Casting (120T refining furnace, 80T/30T EAF) or forging with vacuum degassing to ensure internal soundness.
Carburizing, nitriding, quenching & tempering, or induction hardening selected per design requirements. 18 furnaces on-site including pit carburizing furnaces up to Φ2.5m.
Rough hobbing → finish hobbing → gear grinding (NILES/HOFLER CNC) → lapping. For girth gears up to Φ16m, the entire process runs on a single dedicated production line.
Dimensional checks after each major step; non-conformities caught and corrected before the next stage.
Final Inspection & Documentation
√ On-line gear inspection system: tooth profile, tooth direction, pitch accuracy, meshing and lapping test.
√ Hardness testing (surface and core), ultrasonic testing for internal defects (if required).
√ Material certificates, heat treatment records, dimensional inspection reports, and photos compiled into a complete documentation package.
Packaging & Delivery
√ Anti-corrosion treatment and custom crating for sea freight or air freight.
√ Door-to-door logistics available—customs clearance, inland transport, and delivery to customer's facility can all be arranged.
