Hanwei manufactures ball mill girth gears from Φ1 m to Φ16 m, covering virtually every mill size in operation today. Our production spans four material-process routes—cast, forged, cast-plus-forged welded, and forged-plus-steel-plate welded—so we can match the optimal combination of strength, toughness, and cost to your specific mill conditions. For the largest gears, our forged-and-welded construction delivers superior grain structure in the tooth zone while keeping the ring dimensionally stable during heat treatment.
Tooth finishing is where we differentiate. Our 16 m CNC form grinding machine, alongside 5 m NILES and 2.5 m Höfler grinders, produces tooth profiles to DIN Grade 6 accuracy with surface hardness up to 380 HB. This means quieter meshing, more even load distribution across the tooth flank, and measurably longer service life.
