Introducing our "Reverse Engineering & Drawing Matching" service, designed to streamline your product development process.
Effortlessly convert existing physical products into detailed digital CAD models, allowing for precise replication and modification. Ideal for manufacturing, prototyping, and design teams looking to enhance their workflow, our service ensures accuracy and efficiency at every stage of development.
Product Introduction
In heavy industry, the equipment outlasts the documentation. Mills, kilns, and crushers often operate for decades—long after original drawings have been lost, OEMs have merged or exited the market, and engineering teams have turned over multiple times. When a critical gear or shaft needs replacement, the absence of manufacturing drawings should not be a barrier to getting the plant running again.
Hanwei's reverse-engineering service closes this gap. We reconstruct complete manufacturing drawings from physical components, using a combination of precision measurement, material analysis, and gear geometry calculation.
This service is particularly valuable for girth gears, crusher components, and gear shafts where original drawings are most commonly missing. Our 30+ country export experience means we've reverse-engineered components from virtually every major equipment manufacturer worldwide.

Our process:
✪ Component receipt or on-site measurement: You ship the worn or damaged component to our facility, or our field measurement team travels to your plant to capture data in-place during a maintenance window.
✪ Dimensional capture: Using CNC coordinate measuring machines, gear analyzers, and laser scanning, we record all critical dimensions—tooth profile, module, pressure angle, helix angle, pitch diameter, root geometry, and mounting interface features.
✪ Material identification: Spectroscopic analysis determines the chemical composition; hardness testing maps surface and core hardness values; metallographic examination reveals the heat treatment condition.
✪ Drawing reconstruction: Our engineering team generates a complete manufacturing drawing with all specifications—dimensions, tolerances, material grade, heat treatment requirements, and surface finish callouts.
✪Drawing matching: We cross-reference the reconstructed drawing against our library of 3,000+ existing gear drawings. In many cases, we find a match or near-match that confirms our measurements and accelerates the production process.
